Ever since I began experimenting with them in high school, I’ve loved working on album covers. While there is a lot I enjoy about working in this format, my favorite aspect is most definitely the necessary interactivity and cooperation with another artist. Working to communicate another creator’s auditory work in a visual medium, while also combining it with any visions they have for the cover is always a completely unique, educational and fulfilling creative endeavor.

For Pantry, the artist specifically requested that his likeness be present on the cover. Working from there, I wanted to bring in a strong contrast by juxtaposing that photography with the colorful, pop-art inspired background of the cover which ties into the retro and progressive inspiration of the music itself.
